“The Pictures” is the most sprawling, and the most personal, album Dave Harrington has ever made. It’s a love letter to the cinema. It’s a showcase for his eclectic taste. It’s a quiet nod to his father. It’s a love song to his family. It’s a heady journey through abstraction and back.

At 27 tracks, “The Pictures” is Harrington’s debut on Minaret. It follows years of friendship with the label and participation in multiple live concerts — including a month-long residency/collaboration at Zebulon in April 2023 previewing the album + various free jazz configurations. The record released on all platforms on October 20th, 2023 — you can purchase it on bandcamp (digital, cassette).
