Minaret is an independent jazz label and event series based in Los Angeles, founded by Egyptian-American artist Yousef Hilmy in late 2019.

Symbolized from the Arabic منارة (lighthouse, source of light), we use an open source approach to publish creative music, produce concerts in LA + beyond , foster community/collaboration, and connect progressive art practices to the public.

We are home to an elite generation of musicians, with a global roster spanning multi-instrumentalists, improvisers, beatmakers, vocalists, producer-engineers & everything in between.
