Nicole McCabe - Improvisations (EP)
Today—December 14th—Nicole McCabe shares a surprise four song EP entitled “Improvisations”.
Recorded during an intimate performance at Altamira Sound in Alhambra on September 17th, 2022, “Improvisations” is a suite of spontaneous saxophone loops marking a new direction for the LA-based reedist/composer.
This is Nicole’s first solo release (and also the very first time she played a solo set with pedals) — showcasing stretched out melodic, harmonic & structural experiments yet to be heard in her growing body of work.
