perselí is a trio based in amsterdam comprised of Fuensanta on vocals & double bass, Alistair Payne on trumpet, & José Soares on saxophone.
they found each other in their respect for vulnerability, sensitivity towards sound, and pursuit for a constant path of discovery. narratives that develop unhurriedly, as an imitation of flowers, leaves and life without anxiety.
formed in 2018, the collective composes the music together—bouncing ideas off each other to create a rich orchestral sound that resembles a modern chamber group.
on their self-titled debut album, perselí weave improvised passages guided by texture & poetry, original songs that pull from a mixture of folk music, & soundscapes that imitate nature and our surroundings.
